The Wedding Prep areas

One of my favourite things about this wedding venue, is that there are so many beautiful rooms here to choose from for your wedding preparation space. The most popular though, are the Smoking Room, the Master Suite and the Oak Room. I also love the drawing room as a space for portraits too. 

The smoking room has those pastel tones, neutral panelling and loads of light. It would probably be my favourite room upstairs from a wedding photography perspective as there are so many beautiful spots for details and bridal portraits. The Master Suite by contrast is panelled in rich, warm wood which is perfect if you'd like a moodier look to your photos, or the Oak Room with it's rich navy walls creating a great contrast to the subject stood in front of it. They all have plenty of space for you to move around and have everyone you love, get ready with you too. 

Also don't sleep on the ensuite areas. The bathroom adjoined to the Smoking room is huge and would make an incredible space for details. It's rare to find such a pretty bathroom where it's a feature all by itself!

The Great Hall - Elmore Court Indoor Ceremony Space

If you Google Elmore Court, odds are one of the first photos you'll see will be of their Great Hall. It is such an incredible space and such a gorgeous option for a indoor ceremony.

With the stain-glassed windows, super high ceilings which have beautiful embellishments and and gorgeous marble statues in the space where you'll say 'I do', this ceremony space at Elmore Court is full of detail but it's also kept really neutral so you can make it your own. Use your florals to incorporate your wedding colour scheme or let the character of the room set the tone and keep your foliage simple by going for greens and whites - whatever works for you. 

This ceremony area is also great for autumn and winter weddings where you can lean into the candlelight and ambient lamp lighting  to make it feel really cosy. If you're having a summer wedding, you can choose pretty much anywhere in the grounds too so your choices are endless! 

When it comes to the flow of your day, the great hall is accessed via the main entrance doors of Elmore Court so you can easily have your confetti exit straight through onto the lawn so there's no fuss moving your guests from A to B. 

The Gillyflower - Elmore Court Wedding Reception Space

The Gillyflower is Elmore Court's main wedding reception space. It's a small walk away from the main house and it's very much a space built around letting the outside in. Think huge windows that look like picture frames honouring the countryside beyond, a huge sky light to let all that lovely light in but warm interiors with timber and rammed earth walls (walls made of clay, sand and earth). It's absolutely stunning and checks the box of rustic, barn vibes. So with this wedding venue you literally get both - the gorgeous period manor house and the barn like interiors. Those window seats though  -are definitely my favourite part. 

The Gillyflower is also huge, so you can create a tableplan that suits you. I personally think long banquet tables look best here to make use of the rectangular shape. There's also lots of golden grasses just beyond so we can easily pop out for golden hour and be back again very quickly. 

For your dancefloor, there's a separate space which is sectioned off via curtains so there's easy flow between space but it means your evening entertainment can get ready without disrupting your guests or needing to turf you out to turn around the room. It can all be done whilst you eat. This isn't often done as wedding venues so a very nice touch.
