Based in Worcestershire, bordering the Cotswolds I’m very lucky to live in this part of the UK which is surrounded by countryside. That said, I do also love the fast-paced life of the city in small doses having lived in the heart of Bristol during my 20s. After the pandemic, my life moved pretty quickly. I got married, had two babies and got two dogs - all in the space of 5 years!
Becoming a wedding photographer was always something I'd dreamed of doing but it was during that first year of motherhood that I really pushed myself to use my maternity leave - and build an entire business instead with a newborn in toe. Not for the feint of heart but I did it! I started photographing babies at groups I went to and shadowing other established wedding photographers, I attended a bunch of workshops and started getting my own wedding bookings! Being able to join people on one of the happiest days of their lives, one of the few occasions when they got to have everyone they love in one room, it was addictive. To capture those tender moments, the laughs and cuddles - it was more rewarding that any job I've ever done before.
my own love story
I like to get stuck into your wedding day, chatting to your nana which snapping your uncle as he belly laughs at the kids causing trouble. Moving through in a natural, non-intrusive way.
Then, for a couple of 10 minute intervals, I love to take you out for some couple time, pop some music on and get some epic, romantic couple portraits which make you go "WOW! That's my immediate new Instagram photo!" I'm also happy to do a few family portrait line ups, and I promise, they don't have to go on forever! I've got some tips for that!
Wedding photographs are one of my most precious things we own after our wedding. They are passed down through the generations, they help us to remember special moments even when many years have passed. Photos of loved ones only grow in value. Capturing them as they are, as they were, so we can bottle up the essence of them forever.
My advice to you, is to choose a wedding photographer who's work you connect to. A photographer who makes you feel something, a person who you feel comfortable around. For me, my wedding photography centres around people. The emotions of the day, the relationships between guests, the storytelling that happens through images. If that's what you've been looking for, I'd love to chat!
Grace is a wonderful human being who I was so happy to have share our day with, the results of her work speak for themselves. She captured the day in all it's glory, with such detail and it really has given us a lifetime worth of memories. The photo's made my wife cry for about 30 minutes whilst viewing them. They are warm and Grace really understood our 'vintage' brief so well. We love Grace!
