I love photographing weddings in Bristol. There is such an amazing mix of urban and countryside landscapes and so much character everywhere you look from the cobbles in Kings Street to the vibrant colours of Gloucester Road. So, if you’re recently engaged and looking for a wedding venue in Bristol, here are some of my favourites.
TORTWORTH COURT
De Vere Tortworth Court is absolutely stunning for wedding venues, whether you’re looking to have a winter wedding or a summer wedding. The grounds are beautifully landscaped for couple portraits and cocktail hour, the hotel itself has space for all your guests to stay and there’s a beautiful orangery which is such a beautiful spot for your ceremony and reception with perfect light for wedding photos. I love venues like this because you can visit every year for your anniversary too to relive those wedding day feels.
BERWICK LODGE
Of course Berwick Lodge was going to be on the list of top Bristol wedding venues because this is where I got married! It’s got so much character, beautiful grounds for an outdoor ceremony if you’d like one, and the staff and food are amazing. With views across to Wales, lots of space for your guests to mill about and stay for the night, it’s great for mid-size weddings of around 60 people or so.
BRISTOL REGISTRY OFFICE
If you want those city elopement vibes, epic wedding photos of you walking the streets of Bristol, stopping off into retro record stores or walking down the Christmas Steps, a registry office wedding could be perfect for you. We can photograph your ceremony photos there, your family portraits on the Bristol Registry Office steps and then take you out for couple portraits in the city centre before you select one of the MANY amazing Bristol restaurants nearby to have your reception.
COOMBE LODGE
On the outskirts of Bristol, nestled in the countryside Coombe Lodge is an absolute dream. There’s tonnes of space for your and your guests to spill out, and it gives you so many options for where you’d like your wedding ceremony. The beautiful archways are perfect for smaller group portraits and there’s rolling fields for couple portraits if you want to go a little more off the beaten track for those long grass vibes at golden hour.
