The deposit is 30% of your overall package fee. The remainder is due 6 weeks before your wedding day. My CRM system will send reminders when payments are due so please don't worry about having to remember a payment date that far in advance!
This does happen. However to keep things fair, I do not tell couples if someone else is enquiring about the same date, this is because I don't want to pressure anyone into making a decision. Choosing your wedding photographer is a very personal decision, I don't like to use pressure tactics! So I very much leave it to fate as to who books that date first, then I'll notify all other parties.
I offer up to 9 hours of coverage for a full wedding day. I don't usually work longer hours than this as I need to allow time to drive home, back up your photos and get to work on your sneak peeks for the following day. If however you have something very special planned, let's talk about it and I'll see if I can make an exception!
If you're having a larger wedding (over 60 guests) or if candids and getting both sides of prep are very important to you, then yes. My main priority for the day is to follow the day through your eyes, capturing key events as they happen and candids when there's downtime (e.g. cocktail hour when not photographing portraits etc). If you book a second, they can be getting all the behind the scenes stuff, different angles and essentially, I can be in two places at once!
I'd have to be very unwell to miss a wedding. That, or my children would be very unwell. In the event this ever happened, I'd try and give you as much notice as possible and I'd get to work sourcing another wedding photographer who I know and trust to associate shoot for me. This means they'll attend your wedding and photograph your day under my instruction and then I'll edit the image in the signature look and style you booked me for.
