I’ve been photographing little people since the birth of my first daughter 4 years ago. My style is very much based around keeping things natural and calm, no props, no bright lights - just a cosy spot near a window.
My work is very detail focused, especially with newborn photography. I want to document all those little things that make your baby unique from their little fluff of hair, down to their curled up toes. My sessions often begin with a cup of tea, a chat and lots of baby cuddles as we get your little one ready for sleep. I then work with the available light in your home to capture them, keeping poses to a minimum so we can document your baby as they are, perfect.
From there, we move onto the all important family portraits where I like to ensure every member of the family has their moment with the baby, together and separate. Not only that, but I like to capture those inbetween moments too, feeding baby, having them curled up in your arms.
I liken myself to a middle ground between studio newborn photography, and storytelling photography - giving you the best of both.

Choosing an in-home newborn photoshoot was the perfect way to capture these first days as a family of five, It allowed Phillip and his siblings to be in their home and maintain that sense of familiarity and safety. It was so wonderful to capture them in their newborn bubble for a final time.
