I'm a Worcestershire newborn and family photographer. I got into taking family photos when I had my eldest daughter. I saw a lot of studio photography options but what I was looking for was natural, largely unposed photos of me just being with my girl. The way I held her, the way I played with her as we ran around the woods.
They weren't just nice photos of us, they were photos of me being a mother to her. Those little details that made us, us. I knew she wouldn't remember those little things one day - but having photos of them, meant I could show her one day.
As parents, we're often the ones behind the camera. We're the unseen force at the centre of the home. I want to put you in the frame. I want you to be in the photo albums for your babies to treasure. Not just a selfie, but you as a person, you as a parent.

Newborn Sessions
What I offer
Are you about to welcome a new addition? Are you keen to get photos to bottle up their gorgeous 'newness'? The way their hands ball into fists. The tiny little milk spots on their face. The curl in their hair?
For newborn sessions, I come to you in your home. You can be in a space that makes you feel relaxed, you have all your things around you, all I need is a pocket of light. A window or a patio door will do just fine. So no need to clean the house top to bottom - no newborn parents have time for that!
I start by having a chat with you over a cuppa, then I'll slowly swaddle your baby and place them in my floor basket so they're completely safe whilst they sleep. This allows me to adjust them by just rotating the basket, or slowly unwrapping their features to get details without disrupting your baby.
We then move into family portraits. I keep these very simple and classic and ensure we get a mix of both parents together and separate. So you have a beautiful combination to print and frame.

Looking to update your family photos? Perhaps you've never had professional photos taken before but you've been scrolling through your phone photos app and realised - there's barely any of YOU in there.
My approach to family photography in Worcestershire is capturing families as they are. I'll offer the odd prompt to ensure the lighting is good, the composure is beautiful but the moments happening in the frame, the connection - that's all you. That doesn't need to be orchestrated or changed because it makes the photos, yours. I want to document the way you hold your son's hand, the piggy back rides, the way your daughter races your partner down the hill.
Family photos for me are about allowing space for movement. I won't ask your children to sit still, to smile. Instead I'll ask them to play with you, to snuggle in, to show me what they found on that neighbouring tree. Because THAT is childhood. Those are the memories you're going to hold onto one day. Our children may forget a lot of their childhood, but this is our way of bottling a small piece for them. And the best part is, you're not behind the camera You're living it with them in frame.

I've been a Worcestershire newborn and family photographer for over five years, and you may have noticed that I no longer have a dedicated social media presence for my family photography.
This change reflects the growing importance many families place on their children's privacy online. Today, around 85% of my family clients choose not to share their images publicly, and I completely support that decision. To ensure every family feels comfortable and never under any pressure to have their photographs shared online, I made the decision to step away from family-focused social media.
Any family images you see on my website have been shared with full permission from the families involved. By removing social media from this part of my business, I can focus on creating beautiful photographs for my clients without the expectation of regularly sharing children's images online. It allows families to make the right choice for them, knowing their privacy will always be respected.
