As a Worcestershire newborn photographer, I create newborn photography for families who delight in the little things, a tuft of hair, a tiny hand in yours, the perfectly imperfect moments that pass all too quickly. My work is about capturing relationships as they are, in this fleeting season of life, gently and honestly.
I love creating images that feel beautiful to frame, but without the props or performance. No flashing studio lights or forced poses, just you and your baby, simply being together.
As a mum of two young children myself, I approach newborn sessions slowly, so we usually begin with a cup of tea, a chat, and some baby cuddles. Taking a moment to settle in. I work with your baby’s natural rhythm gently settling them, capturing sleepy portraits, then moving into relaxed, natural images in your arms with siblings, parents or pets. I’ll guide you into the best light, but otherwise I’ll leave you to enjoy those quiet moments together.
Newborn photography doesn’t need to feel stressful or rushed. There’s plenty of time, space to pause when needed, and a calm flow from one image to the next meeting your baby exactly where they are.
Those early newborn days exist in a world of their own. Time feels slow and quiet, yet it passes far too quickly. The days are filled with sleepy cuddles and tiny details that change almost overnight until suddenly, there's a toddler standing there in place of your tiny newborn.
A newborn photoshoot is a way of marking that moment of change within your family, the arrival of a baby and the world they were born into. It’s about remembering those many milk-drunk faces, the way they fit in the crook of your arm, and those fleeting details that are so easy to forget once the days grow busier.
These photographs offer a way back to that newborn bubble, capturing this season honestly and beautifully, just as it was.
