Best of 2024: Highlights from a Record-Breaking Year as a Cotswolds Wedding Photographer

As 2025 begins, I’m taking a moment to reflect on what has truly been an unforgettable 2024. This year has been filled with magical weddings, personal milestones, and some of the most inspiring moments I’ve had as a Worcestershire and Cotswolds wedding photographer. From breathtaking venues to surpassing personal goals for the business this year (45% of my bookings came from word of mouth recommendations this year which is such a huge thing!), it’s been a year to remember—and I’m so excited to share some of the highlights with you.

A Personal Milestone: Growing Our Family

2024 marked a special chapter in my personal life: we completed our first year as a family of four after welcoming little A in November 2023. Balancing life as a parent to two under three with running a thriving wedding photography business was no small feat, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. I even managed to jump back into wedding season just a few months after my baby was born, kicking things off with a stunning London elopement in April.

The Top Wedding Venues of 2024

This year took me to some of the most beautiful wedding venues across Worcestershire, the Cotswolds, and beyond. Each venue brought its own unique charm and beauty to the weddings I photographed. Here are some standout locations that made 2024 so memorable:

• Davenport House (Shropshire): Can we talk about how their coordinators wear wedding guest dresses to blend into the crowd for photos? AMAZING idea!
• Brinsop Court (Herefordshire): A venue that transforms beautifully with the seasons—I was lucky to capture its summer and autumn glory this year.
• Kensington & Chelsea Registry Office (London): A chic London elopement with portraits at iconic spots and prep photos at the luxurious Ampersand Hotel. Dreamy!
• Eastington Park (Cotswolds): The outdoor ceremony space is spectacular. I can’t wait to return in 2025.
• Bath City Elopement: Intimate, timeless, and set against the stunning backdrop of Bath Abbey.
• Henley-in-Arden Garden Wedding: A family home turned into a fairytale wedding venue, complete with a marquee and heartfelt details.

Each venue offered incredible opportunities to capture unique love stories, and I’m so grateful for every couple who trusted me to document their day.

Unforgettable Moments of 2024

Every wedding has its own magic, and 2024 was no exception. Here are some of the standout moments that made this year so special:

• A surprise Barbie and Ken outfit reveal during wedding speeches (complete with cowboy hats!).
• A flower girl nodding off mid-hair appointment—it was both adorable and hilarious.
• Accessing a hidden garden in Chelsea for intimate couple portraits, thanks to a kind local.
• The most breathtaking golden hour at Curradine Barns in autumn—those colors were unforgettable.
• A village stroll with a bridal party on their way to a festival-themed wedding in Kent.
• Celebrating love with couples who announced their pregnancies shortly after their weddings (six baby announcements this year!).
• This year also brought a rise in creative micro-weddings, from registry office ceremonies followed by bespoke celebrations to couples hosting their wedding weekends in grand Airbnb’s. It’s been so inspiring to see couples making their day truly their own.

Looking Ahead to 2025

With the 2024 season behind me, I’m already gearing up for another incredible year. My 2025 calendar is filling up with new couples, stunning venues, and exciting opportunities to push my creativity even further. Being a Worcestershire and Cotswolds wedding photographer means every year is a new adventure, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
