If there was ever a wedding that perfectly captured everything I love about autumn, it was Holly and Andy’s day at Brinsop Court. Think crisp autumn sunshine, rich navy blue and burnt orange details, pumpkins absolutely everywhere, and one of the cosiest vibes you could imagine. It was the kind of wedding that made you want to wrap up in a blanket with a hot chocolate afterwards. I’m pretty sure they had a hot chocolate station in the evening actually. Sadly I was gone before it came out!
Holly poured so much love into styling the day herself, and every little detail reflected the vision she’d been dreaming up. From the incredible drinks wall to the beautifully styled reception tables, everything felt so personal. She even hand-poured candles as favours for every guest (how lovely is that?) and filled the venue with pumpkins, creating the perfect autumn atmosphere from start to finish.

The morning was such a lovely, relaxed start to the day, with everyone soaking up the excitement before the celebrations began. One of my favourite little details had to be Holly’s personalised wedding shoes, which she’d customised herself. They were such a fun reflection of her personality and tied in perfectly with all the thoughtful details she’d created throughout the day. It’s those little touches that always make a wedding gallery feel so personal.

Despite being late autumn, the weather could not have been kinder. Holly and Andy were able to have the outdoor ceremony they’d hoped for beneath Brinsop Court’s beautiful pergola, surrounded by family, friends and gorgeous autumn sunshine. Afterwards, everyone headed into the courtyard for drinks and canapés while enjoying the last of the warm afternoon light before making their way into the Knot Barn. I loved the moment of Holly & her Dad walking across the decking to the ceremony. They also had a candyfloss stand as their cocktail hour which was EPIC!

One of my favourite moments of the day came later on. Because their wedding fell on the weekend the clocks changed, sunset arrived much earlier than usual, meaning we snuck away for portraits during blue hour instead of golden hour as they were having time to catch up with guests then. The cool evening tones paired with the warm lights glowing from Brinsop Court created such a romantic, cinematic feel, and the photos have a completely different atmosphere because of it. It’s proof that every season brings its own kind of magic, and autumn definitely has plenty to offer.

As everyone headed into the reception, the Knot Barn looked absolutely incredible. With flickering candlelight, rich autumn colours and all of Holly’s beautiful styling, it felt warm, cosy and so inviting. The atmosphere only got better as the evening went on, with heartfelt speeches, lots of laughter and a dancefloor that stayed busy all night. Holly and Andy absolutely nailed their first dance too, finishing with an epic lift that had everyone cheering and made for some of my favourite photographs of the evening.
Brinsop Court is one of my favourite venues to photograph in every season, but autumn really does have a special kind of magic. The changing colours, cosy atmosphere and beautiful light make it such a wonderful place to celebrate, and Holly and Andy’s wedding was the perfect example of just how stunning an autumn wedding can be.
