I bet you're wondering why you're here when you were about to enquire? I know you're super busy with wedding planning right now, and I only take on a limited number of weddings a year. So I want to make sure I'm the right person for you before we take things forward. I promise once you've read through this, we are GOOD TO GO!
I offer a weekday discount for full day coverage packages which is £250 off. I also offer the option of hourly coverage for shorter weddings on weekdays and winter weekend dates from November to start of April(the two weeks between Christmas and New Year's Day excluded).
I know there's a whole lot of varied pricing out there and I take pride in being pretty transparent with my pricing. Life is busy, I don't want to make yours more complicated by needing to jump through a bunch of hoops for a price. I am not the most expensive, nor the cheapest. I want to create a full experience for my couples, offering them incredible photos but also being there to get to know them and to give them a really personal service. I am for people who highly value their wedding photography and want to invest in amazing photos (& memories of having them taken). Want to double check? Head on over to my pricing page.
Sharing my work is a huge part of how I connect with future couples and grow my business, I genuinely wouldn’t be here without it. I love being able to tell the story of your day and celebrate the people I get to work with.
That said, I always want you to feel comfortable and respected when it comes to your images.
I don’t share every wedding, and I’m mindful about what I do post. I only include photos of children with clear permission, and if you’d prefer that children aren’t shared at all, that’s absolutely no problem.
If you’re feeling unsure about your wedding being online I completely understand, but in cases where a couple want their wedding completely offline, I may not be the best photographer for you. If there’s a specific reason you need your wedding to remain private (for example, military or personal circumstances), please do let me know this in your enquiry.
If you want to share your photos to socials first, that's totally fine.
I offer free engagement sessions with my full day package. That's because I want to get to know you and I think they can really help couples who are a bit more nervous of having their photo taken, build confidence. If you don't want to use it, that's totally fine but they're not deductible from your wedding package.
I promise, I won't send you a whole bunch of emails after you enquire chasing after you! Argh! I'll send you an automated email to let you know I've got your enquiry (it's also got a bunch of full gallery links on there for you to flick through) and then I'll email you within 24 hours personally to let you know if I'm free! Please check your spam, I will never ever ignore an enquiry!
If I don't hear back from you, I will take another booking for your date. I don't gatekeep wedding dates, rather I prefer to work on a first come, first serve basis. It seems much more fair. :)
I don't supply RAW images. It is like going into a bakery and asking them for the ingredients rather than the cake. The product is never the same. The RAW's aren't the finished image and honestly, you need specialist software to even view them. I promise, if it's a great picture it'll be in your gallery.
Regarding the way I edit my images. This is a huge part of my artistry. I like to keep things true-tone and authentic to the day. You need to LOVE a photographer's editing style, as well as how they approach photography. When it comes to photoshopping - I do sometimes remove things which can be distracting in an image (like a Sainsbury's bag) but I won't alter bodies. As a mama of two girls, it just morally doesn't sit right with me to alter people's bodies BUT if you got a super annoying spot that just emerged, that's totally fine! I will remove any unexpected things that can emerge like a cut, bruise or spot if it's noticeable and you want me to.
I do not use AI for the majority of my editing process. I will go through all those thousands of RAW images I take on your wedding day myself and select which will be in your wedding gallery. I will hand-edit every single image you see. The ONLY time I use AI, is where I need to expand the background of an image (perhaps a crop I need to correct), or to remove something like a fire-exit sign. That is it. Every part of your wedding with that exception is edited by ME, in my home, at my computer, with a cup of tea usually in close proximity.
I am more than happy to travel for wedding days and I do include travel as part of my full-day wedding package. If you're further away and booking a half day package, I may charge you for an overnight stay somewhere near your venue, and some mileage. I'll let you know what this will equate to but usually it's around £200 on top. If you want a second photographer and you're further away, my husband (also skilled at photography) comes with me for weddings further away and that also means you don't have to pay additional mileage or accommodation for another photographer (yay)!
