Some weddings feel extra special from the very beginning, and Alix and Hoa’s summer 2024 wedding at Elmbridge Farm was absolutely one of those days for me.

Hey, I’m Grace a Worcestershire wedding photographer! Elmbridge Farm is one of those local venues I always love returning to because of the types of weddings that happen there. Nestled in the Worcestershire countryside, it’s a brilliant Worcestershire wedding venue for couples looking for something relaxed, creative and full of personality, especially if you love the idea of a tipi festival wedding.
Alix and I actually went to school together, and before her wedding day we hadn’t seen each other in around 15 years. When she got in touch to ask me to photograph her wedding, I was genuinely blown away. To get to reconnect in this way and document such an important chapter of her life felt incredibly full circle.
Elmbridge Farm has such a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, and Alix and Hoa really made the space their own. The whole day had an easy, laid-back summer feel, the kind of wedding where guests can wander around the grounds, chat, eat incredible food and simply enjoy being together. Which is great because this wedding was one of my largest with nearly 200 people!
As a Worcestershire wedding photographer, this kind of setting is perfect for capturing natural wedding photos. Nothing felt forced or overly structured, which allowed the day to unfold naturally and made space for genuine moments.

Alix and Hoa’s wedding was a thoughtful fusion of English and Chinese traditions, celebrating both of their backgrounds in a way that felt completely authentic.
One of the highlights of the morning was their Chinese tea ceremony, an important tradition in Hoa’s culture that symbolises respect, gratitude and the joining of families. It was a calm, meaningful moment and was so intimate and emotional.
Chinese music was woven throughout the celebrations through specialist musicians, adding another personal layer to the atmosphere and reflecting the couple’s story in a really intentional way.

Their dog Echo was very much part of the day and definitely one of the unexpected stars of the ceremony.
Hidden away in the boot of a car, Echo made his grand entrance at just the right moment, jumping out and heading down the aisle with the rings. It was one of those brilliant, unplanned moments that had everyone laughing and is exactly why couples value natural wedding photos so much!

Alix poured so much love into the styling, creating many of the details herself, from the welcome sign to the bunting. These handmade touches gave the wedding a personal, thoughtful feel and suited the relaxed atmosphere of Elmbridge Farm perfectly.
Rather than following trends, everything felt intentional and true to them, which always makes for the most meaningful photographs.

Instead of a traditional sit-down meal, Alix and Hoa booked food vendors they genuinely loved, allowing guests to pick and choose throughout the day. It created a fun, festival-style vibe that worked beautifully in this Worcestershire wedding venue.
When the rain arrived during the wedding breakfast, it only added to the story. Guests dashed between the tipis and food stalls, laughing as they went, resulting in some of my favourite candid moments of the day. These are exactly the kind of moments I look for as a Worcestershire wedding photographer, capturing relaxed, joyful and honest memories.

Above all, this was a wedding that felt completely them. Fun, laid-back and full of heart, Alix and Hoa brought their personalities into every part of the day.
Photographing their wedding at Elmbridge Farm was such a joy not just because it’s a stunning Worcestershire wedding venue, but because the day was filled with warmth, laughter and genuine connection. This is what weddings are all about, and why I’m so passionate about capturing natural wedding photos for couples across Worcestershire and beyond.
