If you’re at the start of planning your wedding day and you’re trawling through countless Worcestershire wedding venue listings feeling overwhelmed. This blog post is for you. As a Worcester wedding photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to work at multiple wedding venues in and around the Worcestershire area from rustic barns to country estates and everything in between. Here are 5 of my top wedding venues in the area, and why I think they’re amazing backdrops for your wedding photos too.
1. Bredenbury Court Barns
Located near Bromyard, just on the Worcestershire border, Bredenbury Court Barns has the perfect blend of rustic features and bright open spaces. Often a barn wedding means dark interiors with a lot of orange colour cast from the colour of the walls which doesn’t always lend itself to the bright, airy, colourful images a lot of my couples are looking for. But they really want that cosy, intimate feel. This wedding venue gives you both. With a gorgeous oak barn ceremony space, a glass-fronted atrium with panoramic views, and plenty of romantic nooks for portraits – it’s got a bit of everything.
💡 Photographer’s Tip: Have your confetti photos inside the oak barn as you come back up the aisle, it’s beautifully lit indoors so use that to your advantage. This also means you can then head straight out for your cocktail hour without needing to gather everyone back up again outside.

2. Crumplebury
If you’re looking for a stylish, contemporary venue with a luxy feel, Crumplebury is exactly that. Tucked away in the countryside near Whitbourne, it’s a bold, architectural space with floor-to-ceiling glass, organic food, and an ultra-modern vibe. Think timber cladding, black framed windows and crisp white walls.
I love this wedding venue because of the clean lines, dramatic lighting, and the mix of woodland and open landscapes. It’s a minimalist vibe but that allows your wedding florals and colours to take centre stage.
💡 Photographer’s Tip: As this wedding venue has an industrial vibe, bring in all the COLOUR. It will really pop against the wedding venue and add so much personality to your wedding photos.
3. Elmore Court
Just over the border in Gloucestershire, Elmore Court is an elegant 750-year-old country house with a modern twist. It is also on the bucket list for pretty much every wedding photographer I know, it’s just so gorgeous!
It’s not just visually stunning—it’s got so much character. From the grand staircase to it’s pastel colour palate indoors which just looks so classic in wedding photos, Elmore Court offers that bridgeton-esque feel in every frame. Don’t get me started on the incredible skylight in Gillyflower to perfectly illuminate your wedding breakfast – it’s just perfection.
💡 Photographer’s Tip: Don’t miss golden hour in the gardens, try to allow a little time to sneak out as the light is incredible for cinematic couple portraits.
4. The Mill Barns
Over in Shropshire but within an hour radius for most Worcestershire couples, The Mill Barns is a waterfront barn venue that’s all about bringing the outside, in. Think timber-framed architecture, water features, and forest backdrops. It’s a popular wedding venue among couples—and photographers!
For me, there’s so many ‘hero shots’ you can get here. From across the mill pond (of course), to in the main archway, to getting all those luscious greens from the trees nearby – it’s just perfect. Can we also talk about the high ceilings which make everything look so dramatic when you walk in too? Oh my goodness!
💡 Photographer’s Tip: Try to have your confetti photos taken out on the terrace, you’ve got the mill pond in the periphery and the balcony above so you can get confetti from all angles!
5. Redhouse Barns
Located in Stoke Prior, Redhouse Barns is a beautifully designed wedding venue with manicured gardens, oak-framed barns, and first-class catering, it’s an all-in-one venue that really delivers. It’s also family run so it has a lovely personal element to it. When I was last there, they offered to let the couple go on their personal balcony for portraits if they wanted!
The natural light that floods into the barn spaces and makes everything from bridal prep to the first dance – an absolute dream to capture. There’s also a church locally if you wanted a church wedding.
💡 Photographer’s Tip: Don’t skip a few quick portraits in the landscaped courtyard—especially in spring and summer when the flowers are in full bloom.
Final Thoughts from a Worcester Wedding Photographer
